About Betaab Valley
Betaab Valley is a pine-forested offshoot of the Lidder Valley, about 15 kilometres northeast of Pahalgam on the road toward Chandanwadi. Locally known as Hagan or Hajan Valley, it took its present name from the 1983 Bollywood film Betaab, which was shot here and drew the first wave of tourists.
Meadows, dense conifer forest and the clear Lidder stream make it a popular half-day trip and a base for onward walks toward Baisaran and Tulian Lake.
