About Baisaran

Baisaran is a meadow in Anantnag district about 5 to 7 km from Pahalgam at roughly 2,400 m. It is surrounded by dense pine forest and mountains, and has no motorable road, so visitors reach it on foot or by pony from Pahalgam.

The open grassland and the ring of conifers above the Lidder valley have made it one of the better known short walks from the town.
