About this trek

Gangabal is the largest alpine lake in Kashmir and a Hindu pilgrimage site at the foot of the 5,300 m Harmukh massif. The trail begins at the 8th-century Wangath temple complex at Naranag, making it as much a heritage route as a mountain one.
