About this trek
This 5.6-km out-and-back trail climbs Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan Range to the Sri Shankaracharya Temple, a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and considered one of the oldest temples in Kashmir. Protected as a monument of national importance, the temple offers sweeping views over Srinagar and Dal Lake. The trailhead lies at Jehlum View Park in Rajbagh, Srinagar, easily reached by bus, taxi or private vehicle.
