About this trek

Vaishno Devi is a very important Hindu pilgrim site that lies near Katra in Jammu. The temple is dedicated to Vaishnavi, the combined form of the Goddess Parvati, Saraswati, and Lakshmi, and is one of the 108 Shaktipeethas. It is nestled amidst the Himalayas in the spectacular valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. Verdant green environments greet visitors, although heavy foot traffic can affect the experience. There are a few rest points and stops midway, including other temples in the region. This loop route offers a different return path than the standard out-and-back approach.
