About this trek

This gentle 5.8-km out-and-back trail near Pahalgam follows the West Lidder riverfront past the Deer Sanctuary, through green forests and meadows framed by the Himalayas. It's a great warm-up hike for acclimatising before tackling the region's longer, more demanding trails. The trailhead sits at Lidder View Park in Pahalgam, easily reached by bus, taxi or private vehicle.
