About this trek

This 17.1-km out-and-back trek runs from Naranag Temple through one of Kashmir's most striking valleys, framed by the Great Himalayan Range and the Pir Panjal. With few visitors and minimal human activity, the route offers unspoiled views of the Upper Himalaya and wildflower-strewn meadows rich in birdlife. Unusually for the region, this trail is best walked in autumn and early winter, from mid-October through February, when the valley takes on rich seasonal colour.
